Three, that’s the number of patents filed and now granted to ACT Concepts, creator of the concept of an onboard data aggregation device (PriPayd) that respects the driver’s right to privacy. « It’s the database of maps embedded in these devices (Patent FR2831982) that make it possible to analyze instances of excessive speeding in a statistical manner, without keeping a single trace of the actual trips taken. »
This first patent, granted in 2001, has since been complemented by Patent FR2905024 and finally FR2936631 to extend the analysis of driving behavior to portable devices (Personal Navigation Devices, Smartphones)
